Jedi Council is packed with a ton of news today and the Council goes right to it! The first and probably biggest news piece is the report that Kathleen Kennedy and Lucasfilm are mulling over NOT using a crawl in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. This get’s the council all riled up (especially John) for a discussion you can’t miss.

Mon Mothma Will Have Large Role in Rogue One

Yeah, but will there be a crawl? Okay, we might still be on that one still but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s been reported that Genevieve O’Reilly, who played Mon Mothma in a deleted scene from Revenge of the Sith, will have a large role in this next movie. Which makes a ton of sense considering it’s about a rebellion led by Mon Mothma. The Council look at this news, wondering… where was she in A New Hope?

More Rogue One Images Released from Entertainment Weekly

And then it’s on to a discussion about the plethora of images EW released from their massive look at the Star Wars Story, Rogue One. The images are plentiful and offer a great look at the production. However, the Council spends most of their time looking at the one image of a Death-Trooper holding a Storm-Trooper doll. What’s up with that?

Gareth Edwards Explains Rogue One Reshoots

Director Gareth Edwards is up next, defending his reshoots for Rogue One. He relays to the fans… and the media… and the world – that this is normal for any big budget production and that the reshoots were planned all along. Ralph also mentions that even The Force Awakens went back for reshoots so maybe the fans (and the world) should calm down and wait for the movie to come out.

Iain McCaig Talks Han Solo Script and Episode VIII

At a recent Art and Industry of Imagination conference in New Zealand, concept artist Iain McCaig spoke about what it was like to make concept art for The Force Awakens, strongly implying a very important story regarding Luke Skywalker and another character in Episode VIII. He then talks a bit about the Han Solo script calling it one of the best scripts he’s ever read.

James Cameron Talks The Force Awakens

Lastly, it’s Terminator director James Cameron sharing his thoughts on seeing The Force Awakens. While the Council don’t agree with his comments in general, they all talk about why he might feel the way he does and whether or not he’s right or not.
