On the heels of yesterday’s new TV spot, Lucasfilm and Disney have unveiled yet another extended TV spot for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The film takes place in the lead up to the events of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, as we focus on the folks—led by Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones)—who enacted the plot to steal the plans for the Death Star. The idea was one of the first to come out of Lucasfilm’s brainstorming sessions when they opted to move forward with a series of new films, and indeed as the first Star Wars anthology movie, is the first of what is sure to be many Star Wars spinoffs.

This new extended TV spot shows off a few bits of new footage while really playing up the pun-heavy angle that Jyn and her fellow rebels represent the beginning of a new hope in the galaxy that leads to, well, Luke Skywalker’s New Hope. As crafted by director Gareth Edwards, what’s interesting about Rogue One is that its protagonists are not strong with the force. They’re regular fighters who hinge on physical ability to overpower their enemies instead of lightsabers and such. That alone makes it stand out from other Star Wars movies, and the visuals put together by Edwards and cinematographer Greig Fraser thus far are positively stunning. Production issues aside, all signs point to Rogue One setting a solid bar for Star Wars spinoffs going forward.

Check out the new extended Rogue One TV spot below. The film also stars Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Jiang Wen, Alan Tudyk, Riz Ahmed, and Forest WhitakerRogue One: A Star Wars Story opens in theaters on December 16th.
