The Rogue One Reshoot Saga

The first topic that the Council tackles is the endless - ENDLESS - reports of Rogue One getting some reshoots. Not that it isn't a surprising development as most movies of this size have some form of re-shoots built into the production. Here, the Council look at the endless rumors of the percentage of the film being tinkered with, the directors involved, whether or not it was screened for an audience, and if Disney was happy or not.

Tony Gilroy Recruited for Rogue One

Keeping in line with the first story, here the Council look at the report of Bourne writer Tony Gilroy coming in help with the re-shoots for Rogue One. This is a more legitimate news story as Gilroy has been utilized before, namely for Gareth Edwards Godzilla. Whether or not he is actually directing is another story and the basis for so many of these rumors.

Christopher McQuarrie Debunks Rogue One Involvement

See how this stuff get's out of hand? Christopher McQuarrie thinks so as well, as he had to take to Twitter to debunk the rumors that stated he was involved and even directing the reshoots for Rogue One. The Council look and discuss the tweets he sent out in order to set the record straight, that included an interesting discussion on the nature of blogging vs journalism.

Episode VIII Filming in the Home Stretch

Finally, a topic other than Rogue One! The Council look at the small piece of news shared by Rian Johnson, who announced that he is close to wrapping production on Episode VIII. To celebrate, he shared a behind the scenes pic from the set that looks to be Luke's Jedi Robe from The Force Awakens.
