Last year, we got brief glimpses of actress Rooney Mara in the highly-coveted role of Lisbeth Salander in David Fincher's adaptation of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.  From a blurry set photo here and there, she kind of looks the part.  But this past weekend, Mara walked the red carpet at the Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala (or PSIFFAG) with her Social Network costars and gave us all a good look at her Salander hair-style.  I'm sure once Fincher's take hits theaters, there will be much debate over who was the better Salander: Mara or Noomi Rapace, who played the role in the Swedish adaptation.  But for now, Mara at least looks the part.Hit the jump to check out the images.  The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo also stars Daniel Craig, Stellan Skarsgard, and Robin Wright.  It's slated to open on December 21st.  Click here to read Steve's interview with Fincher.  Click here to check out more of our Girl with the Dragon Tattoo coverage.Click over to Just Jared for more images.For those just tuning in, here's the synopsis for Stieg Larsson's novel, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo:
