RuPaul’s Drag Race: UK vs. the World

Drag Race UK vs The World cast

UK vs. the World was the first season that had former competitors from different countries back to compete against each other for the crown. It was a shorter season, only 6 episodes long from February-March. It was also hosted by the BBC, so no cash prizes. But that didn’t stop these queens from bringing their A-game.

The downside of the All-Stars format is that since other queens get to pick who goes home, sometimes the best competitors get chopped, such as beloved fan-favorite Jimbo who was sent home by Pangina in episode three. But we will always remember Jimbo’s talent show with a mix of love and confusion.

RuPaul's Drag Race Season 14

Drag Race S14 finalists

Spoiler warning - Drag Race Season 14 only has a couple of episodes left since premiering in early January. Fans and Drag Race alums have dubbed this the “longest season ever”, but who’s complaining? More Drag Race is never a bad thing!

This season has been so good because of the caliber of the competitors, and how lovable they are. Things that would have guaranteed queens' safety in previous seasons are now landing them at the bottom. Also, fans are never going to forget the infamous snatch game that put 11 queens in the bottom. Five queens remain, and it’s going to be a close race to the crown.

Drag Race España S2

Drag Race Espana Cast

The second season of Drag Race España premiered on March 27 and has had two episodes so far. The show is entirely in Spanish, but it’s worth it to turn the captions on and make sure you don’t miss this season!

The first episode started out strong with stunning entrance looks, and by the time the runway began, viewers soon realized that they were in for some truly jaw-dropping fashion. The second episode of the season also featured what fans are calling the best talent show on Drag Race ever. Be sure you tune in because this is truly going to be a great season.

Drag Race Philippines

Season 1 of Drag Race Philippines was announced in mid-August 2021, and auditions closed in mid-September. There hasn’t been too much information about it, except that it’s coming out this year, but no set release date yet. Catch it on Discovery +.

This is going to be the second Drag Race series shot in Asia, the first being Thailand, and it will be the ninth international installment of the series. Fans can't wait to see what the Philippines have to show audiences around the world.

RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars S7

Drag Race All Stars 7 - some past winners

This season is dubbed the "Superstar Season" or the "All-Winners Season" of Drag Race. An All-Stars with former Drag Race winners competing has been rumored for a long time, and fans can’t wait to see it finally happen.

The cast hasn’t been confirmed, so it’s tough to say if this season will feature every single winner or not. It might have every winner of a regular season of US Drag Race, which would be 13 queens (not including the winner of Season 14 since All-Stars has likely already been filmed). Maybe it will be some regular-season winners, and some All-Stars winners, since it’s unlikely that certain queens will be back, such as Tyra from Season 2. Maybe the season will include winners from international seasons. It’s been rumored that The Vivian, winner of UK Drag Race S1, will be competing for the crown.

Canada’s Drag Race S3

Canada's Drag Race S2 Cast

Season 3 of Canada’s Drag Race was announced in November 2021 and likely started filming at the beginning of March 2022. All we know about this season for sure is that it will be airing on Crave sometime this year and that the Queen of the North, Brooklyn Heights will be back as a judge!

The first two seasons of Canada's Drag Race showcased some of the best drag that Canada has to offer. Both seasons had incredible queens, and lots of entertaining challenges. The main criticism fans have had for the series was that the judges were being too harsh, and some fan-favorite queens were being overlooked or placed in the bottom. Despite these criticisms, most fans can't wait for the next season.

RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under S2

Drag Race Down Under S2 Cast

The second season of Drag Race Down Under was officially confirmed in September 2021. Episodes were filmed in January and set to release sometime this year.

The first season showcased queens from New Zealand and Australia, as will the upcoming season. The Aussie/Kiwi version of Drag Race was highly anticipated but didn’t exactly meet fans' expectations the first time around. The show featured multiple contestants with a racist past and did a terrible job addressing the issues when they came up, both on and off the show. Hopefully, Drag Race Down Under learned a few lessons from the first season, and the second installment of the series will be more successful than the first.

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK S4

The third Drag Race Season set to take place in the UK was announced in October. The announcement was made by the BBC, which will host the season when it comes out later this year.

The first season of Drag Race UK was hilarious, and fans loved it despite the production quality not being what they were used to. The second season, on the other hand, is widely regarded by fans as one of the best seasons of Drag Race overall. The third installment was certainly entertaining but didn't pack quite as much of a punch as Season 2.

Drag Race Thailand S3

Drag Race Thailand Cast

The third installment of Drag Race Thailand was confirmed via social media in July 2021. Not much information has been released about the upcoming season, other than confirming it will be released in 2022. Even Pangina Heals, judge on the first two seasons, and competitor on UK vs The World, said she didn’t know anything about it during an interview. So fans speculate that the season will film in the late Summer or Fall, and be released in early Winter.

The first two seasons of Thailand’s Drag Race showcased some of the most talented performers in the country and showed the world how breathtaking Thailand’s drag is. Fans are excited to see even more queens and more of what the country has to offer.

Drag Race Italia S2

Drag Race Italia Cast

Season 2 of Drag Race Italia was confirmed on March 1, 2022, by the official Instagram account, when they announced casting calls for Season 2 of the show. This means the show will likely be filming soon, so the season could be coming out in the summer.

The first season debuted in November 2021, so fans are happy to see it renewed so soon. Many viewers were a little put off by the long runtime of the episodes, each of them clocking in at about 75 minutes each. The season was also critiqued for being a bit messy at times. But despite these criticisms, the show still managed to showcase some of Italy’s best drag, and will no doubt continue to do so in its second season.
