We've got three new clips from Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, the romantic comedy starring Ewan McGregor, Emily Blunt, Amr Waked and Kristin Scott Thomas.  The plot throws together a fishery expert (McGregor) and a PR consultant (Blunt) to help a sheikh (Waked) realize his vision of bringing salmon fishing to the desert.  Facilitating this crazy idea is the British Prime Minister's Press Secretary (Thomas) who is looking for a "good news" win out of the Middle East.  The clips do a nice job of highlighting the political tension, the budding love story between McGregor and Blunt's characters and the developing friendship between McGregor's fishing expert and Waked's sheikh.  Salmon Fishing in the Yemen opens March 9th.  Hit the jump to check out the clips. We've previously seen a couple of trailers from the film and Matt had a chance to review it for last year's Toronto International Film Festival. Here's the official synopsis for Salmon Fishing in the Yemen followed by the new clips:

A visionary sheik has a big dream — to bring salmon fishing to the desert. Willing to spare no expense, he instructs his representative to turn his dream into reality, an extraordinary feat that will require the involvement of Britain’s leading fisheries expert who happens to think the project both absurd and unachievable. That is, until the Prime Minister’s overzealous press secretary latches on for its potential as a ‘good will’ story. Now, this unlikely team will put it all on the line and embark on an upstream journey of faith and fish to prove the impossible, possible.
