Sam Raimi is producing a supernatural horror film about a Yeti terrorizing a remote town. This picture represents a 100% increase in the number of Yeti films currently in production. I think we're pretty much done. I'll give you more details after the jump but seriously: Sam Raimi plus Yeti. We're already trying to buy a ticket (at least I am).
Here are the details via THR: Mandate, through Raimi's Ghost House Pictures, has picked up "Refuge", directed by Corin Hardy based on a script from fellow Britain Tom De Ville. At the same time, co-producer Jason Blum will have his production company Blumhouse Prods financing a short film with the same premise. Hardy and De Ville will also work on this project so that they can offer a teaser which may help Hardy better define his take on the material while the script undergoes revisions.
You didn't read any of that. I know I didn't and I just wrote it. I'm still in a delightful haze from, "Sam Raimi is producing a supernatural horror film about a Yeti-".
