Warner Bros. has released the final San Andreas trailer for director Brad Peyton’s (Journey 2: The Mysterious Island) upcoming disaster film. Dwayne Johnson stars as a helicopter rescue pilot who must work together with his ex-wife (Carla Gugino) to save their daughter (Alexandra Daddario) after a massive Earthquake strikes California. This last trailer really goes all out on the destruction angle, and some of the shots are indeed pretty terrifying. During an earthquake, there’s really nowhere to run.

I’m getting a strong Dante’s Peak vibe from this movie, and on the one hand it’s kind of refreshing to see the return of the disaster genre—those movies can be fun!—but on the other hand, we live in a post-9/11 world and some of the imagery seen in this trailer is evocative of real-life horrors both past and present. I’m not saying this movie couldn’t or shouldn’t exist, I’m just saying it’s going to be hard for some viewers to ignore a few of the real-life parallels.
