THR reports that Gomez will star as Nina Pennington, the object of 16-year-old Ric Thibault's crush in Parental Guidance Suggested, an adaptation of the 2000 Ric Browde novel, "While I'm Dead...Feed the Dog." Nat Wolff (New Year's Eve) will star as Thibault in the coming-of-age comedy while Austin Stowell (The Secret Life of American Teenager) plays Nina's overbearing boyfriend. The picture also features Dylan McDermott (American Horror Story) and Cary Elwes (Saw).
Deadline reports that Gad is set to play Headphones, a prickly engineer at the tech firm where Vaughn and Wilson take The Internship. While he never actually listens to anything through his titular headphones, he always wears them. Gad recently wrapped his portrayal of Steve Wozniak in the Ashton Kutcher-starrer, Jobs.
From Variety comes word of Teller and Tipton starring in Two Night Stand, what's sure to be a cute romantic comedy which finds the unlikely lovers forced to extend their one night stand when they become snowed in. Teller is currently filming James Ponsoldt's The Spectacular Now, while Tipton can be seen next in Warm Bodies.
Finally, also from Variety, Hamilton will star opposite Russell in Dark Skies. The story centers on âa 6-year-old boy whoâs apparently been âmarkedâ by an alien (living among us) for future abduction.â Previously, Daniel Barrett was in talks to star opposite Russell, but it looks as if Hamilton will take the other parental role in the Blumhouse Pictures production.
