What if you got the chance to live forever? Would you take it? That's the opportunity Matthew Goode's character offers Ben Kingsley in Tarsem Singh's latest, Self/Less. Kingsley plays a wealthy man dying of cancer who agrees to have his consciousness transferred into the body of a healthy young man (Ryan Reynolds). All is well until Kingsley's character starts to uncover the truth about his new body and Phoenix Biogenic, the company behind the operation that'll do anything to keep the details of the procedure top secret.

Gramercy Pictures just shared the first clip from the film and while it's probably a smart move to begin by conveying key information about the procedure, I do kind of wish the first clip showed off more of Singh's signature style and mind-blowing visuals. You can check out the first Self/Less clip for yourself below. The film also stars Natalie Martinez, Victor Garber, Derek Luke and Michelle Dockery, and is scheduled to hit in theaters nationwide on July 10th.

Here's the official synopsis for Self/Less:

In this provocative psychological science fiction thriller, an extremely wealthy man (Academy Award winner Ben Kingsley) dying from cancer undergoes a radical medical procedure that transfers his consciousness into the body of a healthy young man (Ryan Reynolds). But all is not as it seems when he starts to uncover the mystery of the body's origin and the organization that will kill to protect its cause.
