Director Seth Gordon just signed on to take charge of the long-in-development Uncharted video game adaptation, and now it appears that he’s adding yet another promising project to his docket. Deadline reports that OddLot Entertainment has picked up the Black List script Queen of Hearts and has attached Gordon to take the helm. Penned by Stephanie Shannon, the film tells the story of how a love affair inspires a brokenhearted Lewis Carroll to create and write Alice in Wonderland. Obviously it’s early days and Uncharted is likely Gordon’s priority at the moment, but Queen of Hearts is certainly a promising prospect.
Though Gordon has most recently helmed the comedies Horrible Bosses and Identity Thief, the filmmaker got his start in the documentary world with the critical darling King of Kong. He’s appeared keen to branch out further with a thriller and a heist film currently in the works, and Queen of Hearts definitely marks another departure.
