Shawn Levy (Real Steel) is one of the busiest guys in the business with about twenty-odd projects currently in different stages of development.  Now he can add Monster Problems to his list.  Paramount is in negotiations to pick up the spec script from Brian Duffield with Levy producing through his 21 Laps banner.  Monster Problems has been described as a John Hughes take on a Mad Max story, meaning it's a post-apocalyptic road movie with a love story at its heart.  Hit the jump for more on Monster Problems, Levy and Duffield.

Heat Vision reports that Levy will produce Monster Problems alongside 21 Laps' Billy Rosenberg and Dan Cohen. The details of the script are few and far between at the moment.  Duffield previously wrote the Black List script, Jane Got a Gun, a project that has attracted Natalie Portman to star in and produce.  Lynne Ramsay (We Need to Talk About Kevin) is on board to direct.  Another of Duffield's projects, the romantic comedy Your Bridesmaid's a Bitch, is set up at Skydance with Eli Craig (Tucker and Dale vs Evil) at the helm.

Levy, meanwhile, is preparing to shoot The Internship with Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson in a Wedding Crashers reunion of sorts.  Levy also recently acquired Man Made, one man's journey to discover his own masculinity in preparation for the arrival of his expected son.  Jake Kasdan (Bad Teacher) is attached to direct.  In a recent interview with Steve, Levy also discussed more of his upcoming projects, such as Night at the Museum 3, The Fight Before Christmas, Cannonball Run and more.
