The official Twitter account for Shredders has posted a tweet for the upcoming game, which confirmed that they would be delaying the release from its original December release to one in 2022.

The tweet shows a picture of one of the many slopes in the game along with the game's logo, and reads that "We had a good feeling about December, but.. We have an even better feeling about February!," confirming the delay. While there was no explanation on why the game got delayed by two months, it's likely that they want to make sure that the game will be as polished as possible for its launch.

Shredders is an upcoming "Xbox first" snowboarding game that will have multiplayer baked into its core. The game is inspired by the classic snowboarding series Amped, and the developers have said that it has "next-gen tech and kick-ass physics."

Dirk Van Welden, the lead on the project, said that they're building a snowboarding experience that will allow you to make your own style. "Outside there are so many incredible ways to do a simple 180 and Shredders gives you that level of control. Carving, buttering, and the sensation of floating on fresh powder all feels amazing." All of this will make sure that players will have the best snowboarding experience possible. While the game does encourage using multiplayer, there will be a single-player mode available as well if you prefer.

The new release window for Shredders is in February 2022. The game will be released first on the Xbox Series X|S, but there is no word on when it will be released on other platforms afterward. You can check out the tweet confirming the game's delay below.
