Lionsgate just unveiled a brand new Sicario clip titled "Raid." The Denis Villeneuve-directed film stars Emily Blunt as an FBI agent who's assigned to assist in the war on drugs in the region between the U.S. and Mexico. She sets out on a top secret mission under the leadership of a questionable consultant (Benicio Del Toro) whose actions make her rethink what she's committed herself to.

You can catch Blunt in action in the especially impressive clip below. Kudos to the Sicario marketing team for picking a scene that pulls you in, delivers a satisfying conclusion and yet still leaves you wanting more. Between this, the stellar trailers and the slew of positive reviews out of Cannes, I'm betting we'll be talking Sicario this awards season, and so is Adam. Check out his thoughts on Sicario's Academy Award chances in Oscar Beat right here.

Sicario will have its North American premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival next month, hit select theaters on September 18th and then will get a nationwide expansion on September 25th. The movie is written by Taylor Sheridan, shot by Roger Deakins and also stars Josh Brolin, Victor Garber and Jon Bernthal.
