Filmmaker Denis Villeneuve broke out in a big way with two very different films in 2013 and 2014—the studio thriller Prisoners and the fantastic head-scratcher Enemy—and his 2015 effort looks like it just may be his best yet. The action-drama Sicario drew rave reviews from its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, and we here at Collider are happy to exclusively debut a fantastic new poster and a couple of new images from the film.

Written by Taylor Sheridan, the pic stars Emily Blunt as an idealistic FBI agent who is enlisted by an elite government task force official (Josh Brolin) to aid in the escalating war against drugs. Reviews out of Cannes praised the film’s performances, tight direction, and Roger Deakins’ unsurprisingly stellar cinematography, and with a September release date in sight, the film could very well be in the Oscar conversation later this year.

This new poster puts a gorgeously foreboding spin on the film’s marketing campaign, and the new images highlight the fantastic ensemble cast that Villeneuve has put together. Check them all out below, via Lionsgate. Sicario opens in limited release on September 18th and expands wide on September 25th, and also stars Benicio Del Toro, Victor Garber, and Jon Bernthal.
