If nothing else, the first season of HBO's Silicon Valley served as a repository for all the great jokes that build up in Mike Judge’s brain between projects. As a satire of the collision between progressive technology and conservative business thinking, the show is hit-and-miss, but the one-liners are consistent in each episode. So, it should come as no surprise that the trailer for the second season of the show is rife with the wry humor that has typified not only the series, but Judge’s entire oeuvre. The trailer sports a heavyweight contender for best “bros before hos” joke ever told, as well “I don’t want live in a world where someone else makes the world a better place better than we do,” a venomous summation of the philosophy behind post-aughts philanthropy and entrepreneurship.

Silicon Valley Season 2 will see business heating up for Pied Piper, a data compression program spearheaded by Richard (Thomas Middleditch), Erlich (T.J. Miller), Dinesh (Kumail Nanjiani), and Gilfoyle (Martin Starr). Their competition against Nucleus, a similar project being backed by billionaire Gavin Belson (Matt Ross), will take center stage while Richard’s professional and personal relationship with Monica (Amanda Crew) will likely become a greater concern in the narrative, seeing as it only really came into focus late into season one. The upcoming season also looks to give some more screen time to the great Zachary Woods, who proved to be a crucial component to the later seasons of The Office, as well as a uproarious bit part on Veep. Let’s hope the lucky streak continues for Judge, one of the most incisive and influential comedic minds to come out of the 1990s.

Silicon Valley Season 2 premieres Sunday, April 12th, at 10 p.m.
