Saturday Night Live is preparing a return to the airwaves after the Winter Olympics wraps up, and the show has rounded up a trio of interesting hosts for the first three shows back. March 3rd will see Charles Barkley hosting SNL for the fourth time, tied to March Madness which will be getting underway in short order. His musical guest will be Migos. On March 10th, This Is Us star Sterling K. Brown takes the SNL stage for the first time ever, hot on the heels of his supporting role in Marvel’s Black Panther. The musical guest that week will be James Bay. And on March 17th, former cast member Bill Hader returns to his old home at 30 Rock to host for the second time, and he’ll be joined by musical guest Arcade Fire.

Brown is a tremendous talent so it’ll be fun to see him play around with the SNL crew, but obviously there’s a lot of interest in seeing Hader return as host. The performer will be promoting his HBO comedy series Barry, which he created, wrote, directed, and stars in—indeed it’s the show he went to make after he left SNL, so the fruits of his labor premiere on HBO on March 25th.

Will we get a Stefon appearance on Weekend Update? The last time Hader hosted, Stefon co-creator and former SNL writer John Mulaney reprised his writing as well for an unforgettable Stefon cameo. Mulaney was known to thrown new words or phrases into the cue cards when Hader performed Stefon to throw him off, but when Hader hosted SNL for the first time, Mulaney slipped in “Dan Cortese” on the cue cards multiple times without Hader's knowledge, leading to a full-on giggle-fit from the actor. Here’s hoping Mulaney returns in some way with Hader on March 17th. You can watch that Dan Cortese-infused Stefon appearance below.
