Sony just released the very first teaser trailer for the 24th Bond film, Spectre. We’ve known that the story involves a cryptic message that puts James Bond (Daniel Craig) on the trail of a sinister organization called SPECTRE (SPecial Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion) for quite a while now, but this video gives us our very first look at what that message is and it’s got something to do with who Bond’s guardian was as a child.
As someone who’s only seen the more recent Bond movies (yeah, I know it’s a problem), I can’t say I took very much from the teaser. The visuals are absolutely stunning and the piece has a great eerie feel to it, but in terms of story details, it falls just short of getting me hooked. But of course, it’s just a teaser trailer so I’m hopeful a full length promo will do the trick.
Check out the Spectre teaser trailer below and click here to see some new images from the Mexico City set as well. The film opens November 6th and also stars Ben Whishaw as Q, Naomie Harris as Moneypenny, Ralph Fiennes as M, Christoph Waltz as Oberhauser, Monica Bellucci as Lucia Sciarra, David Bautista as Mr. Hinx, Léa Seydoux as Madeleine Swann and Stephanie Sigman as Estrella.
