‘Saw’ Franchise Director Darren Lynn Bousman Explores a Creepy Convent in Exclusive ‘St. Agatha’ Clip

Last year, New Line’s Conjuring-verse spinoff The Nun surprised with a dominating box office performance, becoming the highest-grossing film in the franchise. If you’re in the mood for more Nunsploitation, get ready for St. Agatha, the upcoming horror-thriller from Darren Lynn Bousman, director of three Saw films and the cult horror-musical Repo! The Genetic Opera.

Set in 1950s Georgia, St. Agatha follows a pregnant woman on the run who seeks refuge in an isolated convent. Of course, there are some ghastly secrets hiding in the halls of the creepy convent and before long, she learns the sick and twisted truths lurking in the halls and has to fight to get her baby out alive.

St. Agatha stars Sabrina Kern, Carolyn Hennesy and Courtney Halverson. Uncork’d Entertainment will release the film in theaters, On Demand, and on Digital HD on February 8, 2019. Watch our exclusive clip below.

Here’s the official synopsis for St. Agatha

It’s the 1950’s in small town Georgia, a pregnant con woman on the run seeks refuge in a convent hidden in deafening isolation. What first starts out as the perfect place to have a child turns into a dark layer where silence is forced, ghastly secrets are masked, and every bit of will power Agatha has is tested. She soon learns the sick and twisted truth of the convent and the Odd people that lurk inside its halls. Agatha must now find a way to discover the unyielding strength needed to escape and save her baby before she’s caged behind these walls forever.
