May the 4th be with you -- here are some new goodies to celebrate. Photographer Annie Leibovitz is known for her portraits of celebrities, and nothing is more famous these days than Star Wars. In these gorgeous photos for Vanity Fair's Star Wars: The Force Awakens issue, there are also a few revelations about what we might be seeing in the upcoming film.
As we are also reporting, we are getting our first look (and a confirmation) of Adam Driver as the evil Kylo Ren (who will also be wielding that three-pronged light saber). Further, Lupita Nyong'o's CGI character Maz Kanata seems to (as far as the rogue's gallery seems to suggest) playing some kind of a pirate.
Also, check out the dashing Poe Dameron (Oscar Issac), as well as some great photos of JJ Abrams directing on the set, as well as a portrait of the Star Wars brain trust (Abrams, producer Kathleen Kennedy, compose John Williams, co-writer Lawrence Kasdan).
And of course, the cover gives us another look at Han and Chewie, because feels (and that lil BB-8!) Vanity Fair also has a featurette of the cover shoot over on their site.
