Another day, another Star Wars: The Force Awakens image release. Yes they’re gorgeous, yes we’re all excited, and yes Mark Hamill is missing from them (and so is Carrie Fischer). This batch comes from a new set of Empire covers for their January issue, and features (as you’ll see below), Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), Captain Phasma (Gwendoline Christie), Finn (John Boyega), Rey (Daisy Ridley), Han Solo (Harrison Ford) + Chewbacca (Peter Mahyew), and Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac).
It seems that a majority of you guys voted in our poll that yes, we’re seeing too much footage before the film has been released, but do images count? They don’t spoil anything, but they also look a lot like what we’re seen before. Still, they’re all lovely and visually distinct (despite the fact that Isaac is over-airbrushed). I’m not sure I can pick a favorite … (of course I can: Kylo Ren. That flaming tri-saber is kickass).
Check out the collection of covers below, as well as an additional image of Captain Phasma here. Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens December 18th, and also stars Andy Serkis, Lupita Nyong’o, Anthony Daniels, Kenny Baker, and Max von Sydow.
