[We've added some updates at the bottom of this story]

You may have heard about a little film called Star Wars: The Force Awakens opening this December 18th, but other than being inundated with toys and other merchandise for a film that hasn't be released yet, we haven't seen much footage. That's all about to change if a new report is to be believed. Apparently the new - and last - trailer for J.J. Abrams' installment will be debuting online on Monday, October 19th. The wait is almost over!

Also appearing online that same day, according to Screen Crush, will be the ability to pre-order tickets for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The trailer will then makes its way to the big screen in front of the latest James Bond film, Spectre, when it his theaters on November 6th. The report also states that we should be getting an official trailer / ticket pre-sale announcement from Lucasfilm and Disney before the October 19th reveal. It could be this Friday, or possibly as late as Sunday, but either way you can hopefully expect there to be some sort of trailer teaser attached. Making Star Wars reports that the trailer itself - along with the possibility of a new logo - will play during ESPN's Monday Night Football, which is operated by Disney. The full trailer should be online shortly thereafter. We'll update with more news once we receive it.

[Update: io9 has heard from multiple sources that the new poster will be going online Sunday morning , and confirms we'll see the trailer on Monday night, "roughly around 8pm EST".  That slightly conflicts with earlier reports that said the trailer would be playing during Monday Night Football, which starts at 8:30pm EST.

Keep in mind that Disney has yet to confirm any of this, although I expect there will be a press release soon announcing the trailer debut along with info on when fans can buy tickets.  Right now, io9 and previous reports are in agreement that tickets will go on sale sometime on Monday.]
