Three Minute Rogue One Trailer Hits Next Week
The big news this time for the Council to discuss is the report that a three minute, extended trailer for Rogue One A Star Wars Story will hit next week. On July 15th, ABC will air the special documentary on the making of The Force Awakens. And during that special, according to the breakdown found on the channel guide, a three minute trailer will air – coming directly on the heels of Star Wars Celebrations Europe.
Will Episode VIII Footage Appear at Comic Con?
A big discussion takes place with the council about the possibility of Episode VIII footage being shown at comic con this year. As they all mentioned, we were treated to a Force Awakens documentary of sorts at the previous Comic Con so this time, the council wonder just how much they will or will not show at the convention.
Mark Hamill Loses the Beard!
Shocking news! Thanks to yet another Tweet from Mark Hamill we have (sorta!) confirmation that Hamill has shaved his contractually obligated beard. In the tweet, Hamill is reading a book, obscuring his face with it. But come on, you can see there’s no beard. This leads to a rousing discussion on what this all can mean (can you believe we’re spending so much time discussing a beard?). This either means Hamill is done filming Episode VIII. Or, it could mean he shaves the beard sometime during the movie. But why? This is what Jedi Council is all about and so, the Council lays in to their speculation machines and get to talking.
Episode VIII Will Wrap Production on July 22nd
Next up for the Council to discuss is the reveal coming from Mark Hamill himself, in which the venerable Jedi took to Twitter revealing that on July 22nd the production of Star Wars Episode VIII will wrap production. The Council then look to this news and discuss what it might developments will take place since then for the special effects, possible reshoots and then, what we all might expect from the next episode in the saga.
What’s the Deal with Canon?
Here now is the segment called What’s the Deal with Canon – a discussion on everything in the world of canon that isn’t one of the movies be it Episodes or Star Wars’ Stories. “Canon” here include the tv shows, books, comics and video games.
