The video game stuffs keep on coming out of E3, and today EA unveiled the launch trailer for Star Wars Battlefront Bespin. Season Pass owners will be given access to the Bespin update on June 21st, which includes new content, features, and more. Most striking is the Cloud City of Bespin, which allows Star Wars Battlefront gamers to play as Lando Calrissian or Dengar, includes brand new maps, new weapons like the X-8 Sniper and EE-4, a new Cloud Car vehicle, and an all new game mode called Sabotage.
The third person shooter game was released last November, during the height of Star Wars mania with The Force Awakens on the horizon, but I’ll admit I found myself supremely disappointed with the game, which got old incredibly fast and lacked compelling gameplay aside from non-dynamic multiplayer shoot-em-ups. Nevertheless, this Bespin update looks pretty nifty, and I’m sure fans of Battlefront will be thrilled to be able to step into Lando’s shoes.
The Star Wars Battlefront Bespin digital expansion pack will be available to Season Pass owners on June 21st, a full two weeks before it’s released to gamers at large. Check out the launch trailer below, followed by links to more of our recent E3 coverage.
Here’s the official synopsis for Star Wars Battlefront Bespin:
Experience new heroes, maps, mode, weapons, star cards and more in the new Bespin digital expansion. Join Lando Calrissian and Dengar in the Cloud City of Bespin. Take flight in a cloud car, journey through Cloud City, navigate carbon-freezing chambers, or hunt enemies with the X-8 Night Sniper and EE-4 blasters. This deal is getting better all the time.
