If you’re a Star Wars fan and live in the Los Angeles area, I definitely recommend stopping by the Anaheim Convention Center this weekend for Star Wars Celebration. While the con will try and push you to spend your money on convention-only exclusives, if you can resist those urges, you’re in for a real treat. Unlike Comic-Con or many other conventions that have limited dealers selling vintage toys, Celebration is loaded with an insane amount of hard-to-find figures and vehicles in amazing condition. I also saw a few dealers selling vintage Star Wars posters that are rarely available at conventions.
In addition to the vintage toys and posters, I saw original trilogy props, t-shirts and costumes, custom Star Wars cars, new figures and toys, cool dioramas, Star Wars skateboards, art, a huge area of tattoo artists doing Star Wars tattoos, and so much more. As I said, if you’re into Star Wars and have the time, it’s definitely worth stopping by.
Since I know a lot of you won’t be able to make it, I snapped over one hundred pictures of the convention floor and tried to capture the various things on display. All image were taken with a Canon 5D and if you click on any picture you’ll see it in high resolution.
