We did just get a look at the Millennium Falcon and X-Wing ships, but how about getting the chance to see even more from Star Wars: Episode VII including locations, weapons and more?  It’s being reported that you’ll get that opportunity if you watch Disney XD’s Star Wars Rebels.

Star Wars Rebels takes place five years before A New Hope.  It’s a dark time in the galaxy thanks to the Galactic Empire, but the crew of the starship Ghost is hoping to change that.  The show is set to kick off on the Disney Channel on October 3rd before moving over to Disney XD for the rest of the season.  Hit the jump for more on the Episode VII elements that Star Wars Rebels may tease as well as a sketch of Daisy Ridley’s costume.

According to EW, the folks behind Star Wars: Episode VII are working with the Star Wars Rebels creative team to ensure the show adheres to the rest of the Star Wars canon.  Here’s what Rebels executive producer Simon Kinberg had to say about the venture:

“It’s a very integrated process, there’s real communication between all the filmmakers because we’re all part of a larger timeline.  There is absolutely communication and integration between the different stories.  We are very aware of what they’re doing in VII, and we also have to click into place with Episode IV.”

The show will include “set-ups and Easter eggs” connected to Episodes IV, V and VI, and on top of that, Kinberg also teased that we might see some brand new elements from Episode VII as well.

“There are characters, vehicles, imagery that are introduced in the show before we’ve ever seen them in the movies, possibly including VII.”

We’ve also got a Star Wars: Episode VII rumor floating around.  Making Star Wars (via CBM) just unveiled some sketches of Ridley’s costume.  They are not official renderings.  They were done by someone who got to see the concept art and tried to recreate it.  Here are some thoughts the artist shared on the character’s look:

"She has a ton of detail and gadgets on the costume, so please forgive me for any ambiguities.  The pants reminded me of Boba Fett’s pants (they’re not).  The knee pads, chest and scarf are a dark blue.  The pants are grey.  Her arms are a white “bone” looking padding, tied off with brown straps.  My sketch looks like she has a hat brim but that is supposed to be a transparent visor.  It’s like a solid piece of glass or plastic and you can see her eyes through it.  The stances below are nearly identical to the art I was shown.”
