On this episode of Collider Star Wars: Rebels Recap Show, hosts Kristian Harloff and David Griffin discuss what they enjoyed most about episode 12, titled “Legends of the Lasat.” The hosts discuss all things Star Wars: Rebels, and recap episode 12 of Star Wars: Rebels season 2. Where will the show go? What fate do our heroes have?

  • Zeb takes center stage as the proud warrior learns that he’s not the last of his kind when Ezra gets a call from the legendary space outlaw, Hando Ohnaka. The other members of his species called Chava and Gron.
  • Chava is a kind of shaman for her people and reveals that Zeb used to be a Captain. Zeb has tried his best to forget this memory, as it brings shame to his people. Apparently, he was tasked with keeping the royal family safe, but when the Imperials attacked, there was nothing he could do. Like Ezra, Zeb has to learn to believe in himself once again, which the panelists agree makes from some captivating drama.

  • Chava speaks of Zeb playing the role of warrior, child and fool all at the same time. Her teachings are very reminiscent of the Jedi order. By the episode’s conclusion, Zeb is using his ancient staff, along with the force to guide his comrades to their new home. This sequence is truly thrilling with excellent music to match. Definitely the highlight of this week’s outing.
  • Looking ahead, the Rebels Recap team speculates that we still have a ways to go before we start seeing Darth Maul and Ahsoka’s inevitable confrontation with Darth Vader. We’re past the halfway point of this second season and we can’t wait to see what happens next.
