There are dark creatures looming in the shadows that may hinder the rebel’s chances of finding a new planet to call home in this week’s outing of Rebels.
The penultimate episode of Season 2 is all about the calm before the storm, as our heroes try desperately to cope with the inevitability that is to come. Hera’s face says it all, as she watches Ezra and Kanan tirelessly train for the coming battle against the Inquisitors. At one point in the episode, she even tells Sabine that we need to get used to not having Jedi around.
Hera is not usually a pessimist, so her downtrodden nature is off-putting, but not unwarranted. Her love for Kanan is undeniable, so it makes sense that she would be sad to see him go. Even Ezra doubts if he’s ever going to return, or see his friends again. It was nice to see Zeb and Ezra have a moment together as they listened to some music while watching the sun rise.
Looking ahead, the two-part season finale should be one wild ride. Ahsoka’s battle with Vader is coming and Ezra’s temptation to go dark side looks to play a role too. Find out what our panelists thought about this episode and what they look forward to seeing in the finale in our recap video above.
