This is the kind of thing that isn't huge news but I'm comfortable reporting on it because it's just cool.  We've known for a while that the old trio of Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill will appear in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and we've probably put two and two together that, at some point, they'll be on the Millenium Falcon we've seen in the trailers.  But hearing Hamill talk about the experience provides a bit of tangible excitement that we're getting to see this happen in the near future.

Hit the jump to read what Mark Hamill had to say about appearing in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.  The film opens December 18th and also stars John BoyegaDaisy RidleyAdam DriverOscar IsaacAndy SerkisLupita Nyong’oGwendoline ChristieCrystal ClarkePip AndersenDomhnall GleesonMax von SydowAnthony DanielsPeter Mayhew and Kenny Baker.

Hamill told Extra TV:

“It was interesting to see it helmed by someone who is such a fan of the originals like J.J. Abrams. It’s really about setting up for a new generation.  I can’t describe the feeling… the déjà vu of walking onto the Millennium Falcon, remembering all these details that they’ve gotten exactly right… It still seems surreal to me and hard to believe it’s actually happening.”
