There are many reasons to enjoy Star Wars Celebration Europe. There’s sure to be a deluge of exciting Star Wars news coming out of the convention, plus there’s the general camaraderie among fans.
But what’s also great is that Bottleneck Gallery is releasing new, limited edition prints for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. These kinds of prints are still in surprisingly short supply considering the success of the movie, so I’m glad that some new ones are coming onto the market. I also hope that in the years to come, Bottleneck Gallery keeps up with the latest Star Wars releases, so we can get great prints for Rogue One, Episode VIII, and so forth.
Today, we’re pleased to debut prints from artists Chris Skinner and Mark Englert. Chris Skinner’s piece is “Finn’s Buddy”, a nice portrait of BB-8 giving his patented lighter-thumbs-up pose, one of the highlights of The Force Awakens. The print measures 16”x20”, is seven colors, is an edition of 300, and the prints cost $40 each.
As for Englert’s piece, it’s entitled, “Hope is not lost today. It is found.” And it comes in a regular and a variant. First up, both prints are seven colors and measure 12”x36”. However, the regular is a timed edition, meaning you’re guaranteed to get it if you order from the time it goes on sale until Sunday, July 17th at 11:59pm eastern. The regular edition costs $50. Here’s a look:
What’s interesting about the variant is that rather than be another version of the regular print, it’s another design entirely, and if you put them together, you have something that tells a story in two panels—Luke’s loneliness and Rey’s arrival. However, it’s going to be a bit pricier and a bit harder to get your hands on the variant. The variant costs $65 and is an edition of 250. However, if you’re able to get both, it’s going to look incredible on your wall. Here’s the variant:
Both Skinner and Englert’s prints will be released Thursday, July 14th at 12pm eastern at Bottleneckgallery.com.
