Before you get concerned that Disney has built a fully-functional star-killing weapon amidst the sands and surf of Abu Dhabi, relax; it's just a sticker. It's an impressive sticker to be sure, but there's nothing dangerous about this recreation of the First Order's Starkiller Base from Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Abu Dhabi, which played the desert landscape of the desolate planet Jakku, now plays host to one of the world's biggest homages to the new films of the Star Wars universe. The installation brings the Starkiller Base to Earth in bigger-than-life fashion on display at the iconic Aldar HQ building. It's a striking piece that's a testament to the ongoing power of Star Wars.

Check out some behind-the-scenes videos about the installation, followed by a pair of pictures from the larger-than-life simulated Starkiller Base:

Standing at 100m tall and with a surface area of 17,000m2, twofour54 and Aldar Properties PJSC’s epic Starkiller base installation in Abu Dhabi is among the biggest in the world dedicated to Star Wars: The Force Awakens. In the film, Abu Dhabi plays Jakku, a frontier desert planet in a remote section of the Outer Rim Territories.

twofour54 and Aldar Properties PJSC worked together to create the giant Starkiller Base that was placed on the iconic, coin-shaped Aldar HQ building in Abu Dhabi. The epic sticker installation took nine non-stop days to print using material that would cover two and a half football pitches, followed by 420 combined hours of manpower to install on the surface of the building.
