Sadly Hasbro wasn't quite ready to reveal what they've got brewing for the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens on December 18th, but they did have some fun stuff for younger franchise fans on display at the Toy Fair 2015 Entertainment Brand Preview Event.
You know how some folks aren't digging the cross-guard Lightsaber featured in the Star Wars: The Force Awakens teaser trailer? Hasbro is taking it a major step further with Bladebuilders, sets that allow kids to build their very own Lightsaber. This means cross-guards, double blades or whatever else their little hearts' desire.
As someone who grew up in the 90s, another new addition to Hasbro's Star Wars line that caught my eye was a Furby - or, better yet, a Furbacca. Yes, we're talking about a Chewbacca Furby. I would have lost my mind if they had come out with this back when I was a kid. The Furbacca speaks wookiee, hums theme songs from the Star Wars movies, plays virtual games and more. All my Furby did was blow through the relatively short list of Furby-speak phrases and freak my dog out.
