20th Century Fox has released the first trailer for Stuber, the buddy action-comedy co-starring Dave Bautista and Kumail Nanjiani. Directed by Michael Dowse (Goon), the film follows an Uber driver named Stu who picks up an LAPD officer in the middle of a hunt for a killer. Much shenanigans ensue.

This kind've gives off the vibes of a low-key hit, similar to studio comedies like Game Night and Blockers coming out of nowhere to become instant classics. Or it could just be low-key bad. (For what it's worth, we liked what we saw at SXSW.) Either way, I'm super intrigued by the fact Bautista is basically playing the real-life version of Drax the Destroyer from Guardians of the Galaxy. The wrestler-turned-actor became a standout of the MCU with his surprising comedic chops, but he's also busy building a pretty eclectic resume that ranges from things like this to the upcoming Dune adaptation. Stuber is definitely elevated by the fact that Nanjiani is pretty much always gold, and even he showed off a surprising dark side in the Twilight Zone revival.

Check out the trailer below. Stuber hits theaters on July 12. The film also stars Karen Gillan, Natalie Morales, Iko Uwais, and Betty Gilpin.

Here is the official synopsis for Stuber:

When a mild-mannered Uber driver named Stu (Kumail Nanjiani) picks up a passenger (Dave Bautista) who turns out to be a cop hot on the trail of a brutal killer, he's thrust into a harrowing ordeal where he desperately tries to hold onto his wits, his life and his five-star rating. Directed by Michael Dowse, this action-comedy from 20th Century Fox also stars Iko Uwais, Natalie Morales, Betty Gilpin, Jimmy Tatro, Mira Sorvino and Karen Gillan.
