There’s a lot going on in Suicide Squad. We’ve got Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Jared Leto as The Joker, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, but then there’s also a report that Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje has joined the cast as Killer Croc, Jackie Earle Haley is being considered for The Thinker and apparently Scott Eastwood and Raymond Olubowale are in the mix as well. Is there room for one more? Perhaps Jason Todd?

Check out the story details Latino Review's El Mayimbe just revealed on Instagram. (Warning! There are plot spoilers in this post.)

For those of you who don’t know much about Jason Todd, a little Googling reveals that he was the second character to become Batman’s sidekick. He was killed off back in 1988, but the 2005 Under the Hood story arc brought him back as the antihero Red Hood.

Buried in that post, El Mayimbe notes, “I'm also told that the RED HOOD is now a priority character for DC,” so perhaps DC and Warner Bros. are looking to use Suicide Squad as a stepping stone towards a solo Red Hood movie. They’ve already got their hands pretty full with a 10-film slate, but why not add another? Plus, if Suicide Squad hits it big, there’s no doubt they’ll want to be ready to milk the villain/antihero angle for all its worth, especially considering Marvel hasn’t given that kind of film a shot (yet).
