Director David Ayer's Warner Bros/DC mega-budget Suicide Squad is still pretty far off on the release calendar, but it's gearing up to shoot rather soon so there's a chance that there's some veracity to some of the rumors that have been popping up lately. We recently got a breakdown of what Jared Leto's iteration of The Joker might look like and learned a possible way that Ben Affleck's Batman could be included in the piece. Now it looks as though they may have found someone to play The Thinker after Geoffrey Rush reportedly declined the offer.

Per El Mayimbe, Jackie Earle Haley's name is being "tossed around" in conjunction with the role. Obviously this wouldn't be Haley's first foray into an ensemble driven comic book movie (in a universe at least partially influenced by Zack Snyder no less) seeing as he starred in Watchmen, so if he does indeed sign on it will be with some sense of what he's getting himself into.

Suicide Squad hits theaters on August 5th, 2016 with Justice League following it on November 17th, 2017. And of course we'll get our first peak into DC's foray into extended universe territory when Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice opens on March 25, 2016.
