It wasn’t too long ago that we heard about Dope actress Kiersey Clemons being eyed to land the female lead in WB/DC’s upcoming The Flash movie, and now we are getting confirmation not only that Clemons got the role but also which role she is playing. Clemons was among a list of actresses in contention to be cast in the leading female role in The Flash, and according to reports, she has indeed landed the part. The role had not been revealed at that point, but now there is confirmation that Clemons will, as suspected, play Iris West alongside Ezra Miller’s Barry Allen. In the comics, West is a journalist and friend of Allen; you might have already seen a version of the character in CW’s The Flash, played by Candice Patton.

Supergirl has had a lot on its plate recently with moving from CBS to The CW and all that entails, plus making the bold move of introducing Superman in Season 2. It was recently revealed that actor Tyler Hoechlin would portray the Man of Steel in Season 2 of Supergirl, and thanks to a new image we now know what he will look like. The image showcases both Superman and Supergirl in their signature costumes, and while it can be said that Hoechlin has the Superman look, what will really count is his portrayal of Superman/Clark Kent which we won’t see until Supergirl Seasons 2 airs. It’ll be interesting to see how he handles the duality of the character and how he will distinguish himself from what Henry Cavill is doing on the big screen.

Black Panther was a small part in the big splash that Marvel made at Comic-Con this year, though not much was revealed about the upcoming film other than cast confirmation and a new logo, but actress Lupita Nyong’o was kind enough to share the first plot details of the movie. During an interview after the panel, Nyong’o gave a short story description from Black Panther:

“The story is that the Black Panther’s leadership is really threatened by two foes who come together, and so Black Panther gets the help of the C.I.A. and the Dora Milaje to try and defeat the enemy.”

We know that Michael B. Jordan is one of those foes in the role of Erik Killmonger, and that Nyong’o and Danai Gurira will play Nakia and Okoye, members of the Dora Milaje which is Wakanda’s elite special forces unit.
