The word on the street said Warner Bros. had a December 2012 release in mind for the Superman reboot Man of Steel.  Instead, per Box Office Mojo, the studio has set June 14, 2013 as the official date.  Production is scheduled to begin shortly in Vancouver, but it may be reasonable to use the extra six months to fine tune the script as needed if schedules are flexible.  Man of Steel has the date to itself, but the summer of 2013 will again belong to the superheroes, with Iron Man 3 in May and Thor 2 in July.Henry Cavill stars as Clark Kent/Superman; the supporting cast features Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Kevin Costner, and Michael Shannon.  Zack Snyder is directing from a script by David S. Goyer, with Christopher Nolan producing.
