With director Tim Miller’s Terminator: Dark Fate now playing in theaters around the world, I recently sat down with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton for an exclusive interview. As most of you know, Terminator: Dark Fate takes place after Terminator 2: Judgement Day and ignores all the other Terminator sequels. The film features the awesome return of Linda Hamilton as she teams up with Mackenzie Davis and Arnold Schwarzenegger to protect Natalia Reyes from a new kind of Terminator (Gabriel Luna). The film is a return to form for the franchise and you can read a lot of positive reactions here or Haleigh Foutch’s review.
During my interview with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton, they talked about what it was like working with Tim Miller on the massive action scenes, if they were nervous making a sequel to Terminator 2: Judgement Day since it’s beloved by so many fans, and who wins in a fight between the T-800 and Deadpool.
Check out what they had to say in the player above and below is exactly what we talked about followed by the official synopsis.
Arnold Schwarzenegger & Linda Hamilton:
- Who wins in a fight between the T-800 and Deadpool?
- Were they nervous to make a sequel to Terminator 2: Judgement Day?
- What impressed them about working with Tim Miller on the action scenes?
Here is the official synopsis for Terminator: Dark Fate:
More than two decades have passed since Sarah Connor prevented Judgment Day, changed the future, and re-wrote the fate of the human race. Dani Ramos (Natalia Reyes) is living a simple life in Mexico City with her brother (Diego Boneta) and father when a highly advanced and deadly new Terminator – a Rev-9 (Gabriel Luna) – travels back through time to hunt and kill her. Dani’s survival depends on her joining forces with two warriors: Grace (Mackenzie Davis), an enhanced super-soldier from the future, and a battle-hardened Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton). As the Rev-9 ruthlessly destroys everything and everyone in its path on the hunt for Dani, the three are led to a T-800 (Arnold Schwarzenegger) from Sarah’s past that may be their last best hope.
