With Terminator Genisys now in theaters, IMAX has provided us with an exclusive featurette which features director Alan Taylor and actors Jai Courtney, Emilia Clarke and Jason Clarke discussing what it was like to join the Terminator franchise and by extension its legacy. As I have said a few times, I really enjoyed Terminator Genisys. It’s easily the 3rd best in the franchise behind Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgement Day and feels more in the James Cameron universe than any of the other sequels. I also really enjoyed seeing Schwarzenegger play his most iconic role again. Hopefully audiences turn out for this because everyone involved wants to make a trilogy of new Terminator movies, and I want to see what the next two installments have in store.
Here’s the featurette:
About Terminator Genisys:
Sgt. Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) is sent back to 1984 by the leader of the human resistance by John Connor (Jason Clarke) to protect Sarah Conner (Emilia Clarke) and preserve the existence of the entire human race, in an unexpected turn of events generating an unknown timeline. At an instant, Sgt. Reese finds himself in a new, unfamiliar version of the past, where he is faced with unlikely allies, including the Guardian (Arnold Schwarzenegger), dangerous new enemies, and an unexpected new mission: To reset the future…
