"We'll survive, we'll just wish we didn't" could really be the catchphrase for The 100. The post-apocalyptic sci-fi drama has spent the last four seasons exploring the ins and outs of survival, the highs of saving your people and the lows of... well... murder, betrayal, illness, superstition, war, and genocide (a surprising amount of genocide). In the end, it all comes down to survival on The 100 and a new teaser for the series upcoming fifth season puts the struggle for survival front and center.

Season 4 ended with a banger of a cliffhanger that essentially gave series creator and showrunner Jason Rothenberg an opportunity to soft reboot the show, shuffling characters once again into space and below ground as the world burned in a new nuclear fire, leaving Clarke alone on the surface last man on earth style. With the mysteries of ALIE and the first apocalypse uncovered, The 100's new season picks up six years later and has to forge a way forward with new mythology and world building. Reviews are still under embargo for, but there's been some steadily building social media buzz since the screeners went out to critics.

The first Season 5 trailer was nearly four minutes long and a whole lot to process, and the latest trailer brings the focus in on two key points: the mysterious new adversaries who drop in on Clarke's new life via a prisoner space ship, and the battle Octavia's waging below ground to enforce her vision for WanKru. The series returns to The CW on April 24th. Check out the teaser below.
