Both actors will be facing off against Batman and Bruce Wayne, one a friend and one a foe. Ezra Miller, though dissappointed with the loss of Rick Famuyiwa, has been reading tons of Flash comics, and noted to IGN that one is naive and excitedly at the beginning of their journey, while the other is hardened and slightly cynical. Joe Mangienello stated that he met with Ben Affleck and talked about the plot. He sais that the film will be both new and familiar to fans, and that they are keeping the gritty tone statingthat it will take Batman in a direction most will be excited about.

Steppenwolf Has Been Cast

With actor Ciaran Hinds, from Game of Thrones fame, cast as Steppenwolf, how much of the New Gods storyline will be part of Justice League. Will Darkseid be cast and/or appear in the film at all? Should we expect a smaller role in the from of mocap, or will this villain rival what Thanos might be in Avengers: Infinity War? How much of this film will effect the other DC films coming after it, with Aquaman, The Flash, The Batman and Man of Steel 2 all hitting before the second Justice League film arrives?

Another Writer abandons Sandman Movie Adaptation

Its been reported that Eric Heisserrer, Arrival Writer, has turned in what he worked on and left the project. He stated that he has had many conversations with Neil Gaiman, creator of Sandman. He did some work on the feature but in the end, he falt that an HBO series or milited series would work best for this property and not a film nor even a trilogy. Neil Gaiman agrees with Eric and hopes to see the comic book series adapted to the longer form series as opposed to feature films.

Should we be worried about the DCEU?

With The Flash losing another director, and the negative reviews both Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad recieved from critics, can a turnaround happen under Geoff Johns and Jon Berg? WB CEO Kevin Tsujihara thinks so, stating to the NY Times that they have had a great year and they don't want people to overlook their consistency. Both Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad were relatively savaged by critics, yet the combined total of both films is totaling over 1.6 billion. Adding to this, Tsujihara has seen Wonder Woman and he says its great! Should we be worried?

The Defenders Brings Back Elektra

The Netflix 8 episode series The Defenders, which is currently shooting in New York, brings together Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist. In addition to these four heroes, the show has brought in Sigourney Weaver as the main villain, but now we have Elektra herself returning as well, as actress Elodie Yung will return to portray her. With Foggy Nelson, Trish Walker and Misty Knight returning, we now see that The Hand is back in a very big way. Will Elektra now be the Black Sky under the control of big baddie Sigourney Weaver?

Minor Mutations:

  • Doctor Strange takes in $85 million U.S. box office, $425 million globally

  • Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg have a superhero sidekick series setup on Fox
  • More concept art of the Vulture appears online

Yes, Mildred, there was a Doctor Strange made for TV movie that was sucky yet strange, trippy yet lame, disco and duck at the same time. Written and directed by Philip DeGuere, this feature pilot aired on CBS on Sept 6th, 1978. With Cat possessions and 70’s light flares, this odd movie could have inited Dr. Strange with Spiderman and the Incredible Hulk, who were on CBS at the same time. Unfortunately, this film moves like magic molasses, with Stephen Strange already a junior magician at the beginning, training under Linmer, who is the sorcerer supreme.
