I’d have no problem with Ryan Guzman stalking me, but I guess when you’re married and have a kid, it’s best not to strike up a relationship with the young and extremely handsome guy next door, but that’s exactly what Jennifer Lopez’s character does in the upcoming film The Boy Next Door.

Lopez is actually also producing this one with Jason Blum and Blumhouse Productions via her own production company, Nuyorican Productions.  Hit the jump to check out the very first The Boy Next Door trailer.  The film also stars John Corbett, Kristin Chenoweth and Ian Nelson, and is set to hit theaters on January 23, 2015.

The trailer is loaded with cheesy dialogue and rather familiar story elements, but the Blumhouse team does have a knack for delivering fun, fresh and creepy concepts, so hopefully there’s a twist buried in the full feature that the marketing team just doesn’t want to reveal yet.  Then again, even if that’s not the case, getting the chance to watch Guzman play a bad boy and perhaps see Lopez bust out her inner badass like she did in Enough could still make for some solid guilty pleasure entertainment.  Check out the trailer for yourself below:

Here’s the official synopsis for The Boy Next Door:

Jennifer Lopez leads the cast in THE BOY NEXT DOOR, a psychological thriller that explores a forbidden attraction that goes much too far.  Directed by Rob Cohen (The Fast and the Furious) and written by Barbara Curry, the film also stars Ryan Guzman, John Corbett and Kristin Chenoweth.
