‘The Brothers Grimsby’ Red-Band Trailer: Sacha Baron Cohen, Mark Strong Have a Super Spy Raunch Fest

     February 10, 2016

Sacha Baron Cohen is back, and he’s just as raunchy as ever — or, rather, he’s trying to be. The new The Brothers Grimsby trailer reflects on the actor’s time as Ali G and Borat (but, funny enough, not Bruno or The Dictator) before introducing his latest over-the-top character who accidentally shot a firework up his rear-end.

Cohen co-stars with Mark Strong, who plays the top assassin from MI6. After discovering he has a brother, a football fan named Nobby from a poor fishing town call Grimsby, the two become embroiled in a nefarious global plot. Because it’s one of Cohen’s balls-to-the-walls characters, you can probably expect actual balls going on actual walls. At the very least, there are exploding bodies, genital jokes about Ian McKellen, a Bill Cosby gag, and poison-dart-to-the-groin action.

Speaking with Collider, Strong called Grimsby “an out and out action comedy” and something that he’s never done before. Directed by Louis Leterrier (Now You See Me) from a screenplay co-written by Cohen, the film also features Rebel Wilson, Penelope Cruz, Isla Fisher, Scott Adkins, Ian McShane, and Gabourey Sidibe.

Grimsby will hit theaters this March 11th.

Nobby has everything a man from the poor English fishing town of Grimsby could want – 9 children and the most attractive girlfriend in northern England (Rebel Wilson). There’s only one thing missing in his life: his little brother, Sebastian. After they were adopted by different families as children, Nobby spent 28 years searching for him. Upon hearing of his location, Nobby sets off to reunite with his brother, unaware that not only is his brother an MI6 agent, but he’s just uncovered a plot that puts the world in danger. On the run and wrongfully accused, Sebastian realizes that if he is going to save the world, he will need the help of its biggest idiot.
