As September draws to a close, we prepare to welcome new seasons of Fall TV. One of the hottest networks going (among a certain demographic) is The CW, with such long-running successes as Supernatural and The Vampire Diaries (which heads into its final season). However, the biggest draw for newer audiences has been the suite of superhero TV based in the DC Comics universe, namely Arrow, The Flash, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, and network newcomer Supergirl.

These super series form the anchor to a new extended sizzle reel video for The CW’s upcoming fall season. Other returning shows include Jane the Virgin, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and new debuts No Tomorrow, and Frequency. But if it’s just the superhero series you’re interested in, you’ll also get some new looks at Vixen (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) and Citizen Steel (Nick Zano), who will be joining Legends.

arrow-season-5-posterAlso included in this round-up of DC TV news is a look at the new team who will be under the tutelage of Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) when Season 5 of Arrow kicks off this fall. Team 2.0 includes Curtis Holt (Echo Kellum), Rene Ramirez/Wild Dog (Rick Gonzalez), and Evelyn Sharp/Artemis (Madison McLaughlin), with Rory Regan/Ragman (Joe Dinicol) along for the ride.

There’s also a new look at Melissa Benoist as the title hero of Supergirl fighting evil and saving the day alongside the show’s newcomer Tyler Hoechlin, who plays her cousin Kal-El/Clark Kent/Superman. The pairing looks like a definite win for the show which will likely see a viewership boost thanks to the decision to move it from CBS to the more genre-friendly CW.
