A new announcement trailer for the final game in The Dark Pictures Anthology Season 1 has dropped, titled The Devil In Me, courtesy of Bandai Namco Entertainment America.

The trailer for The Devil in Me is unique in that it packs a strong punch and presents a lot of information in less than 60 seconds. The camera slowly zooms in on a dark, shadowy figure facing away from the viewer and sitting at a desk. But there's a surprise twist at the end: the man in the shadows making the speech is actually a corpse, rigged up to appear as though he's talking and smoking a cigarette like a twisted, decomposing marionette puppet. This ain't no Weekend at Bernie's, y'all. This is much more sinister.

In The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me, a documentary crew receives a mysterious invite to a replica of the infamous Murder Castle created by H.H. Holmes, who was America's first serial killer. They soon learn that they're being watched and there's much more occurring than they first thought. Whoever this individual is, it looks like this terrifying game master will be watching every move — and like every previous game, choices will determine who survives and who meets a grisly fate.

While players wait for a confirmed release date for The Devil In Me, they can also check out The Dark Pictures Anthology’s previous chapters: Man of Medan, Little Hope, and the recently released House of Ashes. The series, which first originated with 2015's Until Dawn, is developed by Supermassive Games and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. Four more games are planned for the anthology, so it seems as though these mysterious titles will be part of the Dark Pictures' planned Season 2.
