Universal has released a new trailer for The Dilemma, the comedy/drama which star Vince Vaughn, Kevin James, Winona Ryder, Jennifer Connelly, Queen Latifah, and Channing Tatum.  Vaughn plays a man whose world is turned upside down when he discovers that the wife (Ryder) of his best friend (James) is cheating on him with a younger man (Tatum).  Ron Howard directs.  Check out the trailer after the jump.

The good news is that this trailer is three minutes.  But that only really works if you're looking forward to the movie, which I'm not.  Not yet, anyway.

I like the theoretical idea of Howard returning to comedy, especially one that's going for a James L. Brooks vibe.  Or even better, like Howard's own Parenthood.  But both trailers have felt pretty flat to this writer.  Too bad.

It's possible that a movie that stars Vaughn and James isn't for me, no matter the tone or themes.  Does the trailer click with you?
