We’ve heard a good deal about Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Suicide Squad and know when DC and Warner Bros. plan to introduce select characters before their solo films come out, but we don’t know much about the big screen rendition of The Flash besides the fact that he’ll be played by Ezra Miller. However, even though we haven’t heard a thing about The Flash movie since it was announced back in October, that could change soon because according to TheWrap’s Jeff Sneider, the studio is on the hunt for a director, or rather a pair of directors. Here’s what Sneider said during an appearance on SchmoesKnow‘s MeetTheMoviePress:

“We’ve just heard a bit of a tug of war going on between Warner Bros. and Sony, which would like the same two directors for one of its big franchise movies … If maybe Warner Bros. wanted them for The Flash and Sony wanted them for a Ghostbusters movie, which would Lord and Miller do?”

Clearly Lord and Miller hit it big for Warner Bros. with The Lego Movie and the studio does like to hold on to quality talent, so it wouldn’t come as much of a surprise if they were indeed offered The Flash. And the same goes for Ghostbusters, too. The duo has had a successful relationship with Sony thanks to Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and the 21 Jump Street movies, so obviously they’ll want to keep working with them as well, not to mention every other studio out there.

Right now Lord and Miller have The Last Man on Earth airing on Fox, they’re producing The Greatest American Hero reboot, Ninjago and The Lego Batman Movie, and will write and produce The Lego Movie Sequel as well. It sounds like a lot, but with no directing gigs on the list, odds are, they’re going to lock in another project at some point. Who knows if they’ll go with Warner Bros. or Sony, but if they really do wind up choosing between The Flash and Ghostbusters specifically, it’s a win-win for us.

I know I’d be equally thrilled to hear that they’ve locked in The Flash or a Ghostbusters movie, but do you have a preference? Would you rather see Lord and Miller take on one or the other?
