If you haven’t started watching The Flash, believe the hype. I started watching it recently, and I absolutely love it. I can’t wait to binge the episodes I haven’t seen when it comes to Netflix later this week.
It also looks like the show won’t be missing a beat as it opens itself up to alternate realities, specifically with the introduction of Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears), the Flash of Earth-2, who was introduced in the comics in 1961. Additionally, we have images of Patty Spivot (Shantal VanSanten), who’s trying to become a member of Joe West’s metahuman task force. In the comics, Patty is Barry Allen’s girlfriend and co-worker in the Central City crime lab, and presumably she’ll be a major factor in the show’s second season. If she’s a love interest, hopefully she’ll be a stronger candidate for the gig than Iris. I’m only about halfway through season 1, but she is by far the show’s weak link.
