While at the TCA Press Tour, the executive producers for all of the CW’s superhero shows were on hand to give updates on their many series, how they will be interacting, and more. But there’s always one specific question I have to ask when it comes to The Flash: will we be seeing more of Gorilla Grodd?

Back in January, producer Andrew Kreisberg told us that he wanted to wait to tell the next chapter of Grodd’s story when they had time to do a multi-episode arc:

I would liken the Gorilla City thing to Ra’s al Ghul. You know, you hear about “the man from nanda part” in [Arrow] Season 1, and “the man who showed Malcolm the way,” and then you met Nyssa, then in Season 3 you met Ra’s. So, it’s a long-term thing.

Today, he confirmed that in Season 3 that as far as Grodd's return:

“Yes, we’re going to be doing a two-part episode that takes place in Gorilla City.”

YES!!! Things are about to get really weird.

Also, the panel revealed that there will be two Big Bads this season: Dr. Alchemy, and Savitar, who is also a speedster. (And likely the one we saw hints of in recent set photos). It’s unclear whether or not these villains will be primarily in the Flashpoint storyline or not, but the photos that we saw did show what I'm guessing is Savitar alongside Kid Flash (Wally West, played by Keiynan Lonsdale), which is part of Flashpoint.

When it comes to these villains and what other characters they can use, EP Greg Berlanti said that they go directly through DC, and that they’ve been great about really opening up the catalogue to them. As far as what that means if Batman comes to the CW, well, that’s not something they’re thinking about (and the Batwoman rumor about her appearing in Supergirl is, for the record, not true).

But mostly: GRODDDD!!!

The Flash returns October 4th on The CW
