We’re getting very close to the premiere of “World’s Finest,” The Flash and Supergirl crossover we never know we needed this badly. In the episode, Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) will somehow end up in an alternate universe that leads him to National City, where he meets Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist). The two team up against a bevy of foes, including Live Wire and Silver Banshee, while Kara figures out a way to get Barry home.
We’ve gotten quite a few teasers and images of the crossover so far, but a newly released behind-the-scenes video now gives us a taste of what the cast think of it all, including Gustin, Benoist (who were also both of course on Glee), and Mechad Brooks, who says that the chemistry between Barry (such a flirt) and Kara makes Jimmy a wee bit jealous. Check it out below:
So basically, the takeaway from this seems to be that “World’s Finest” is going to be super cute and fun. That is all I can ask for in a crossover like this, especially when it contains two lighthearted protagonists. Don’t get me wrong, both shows (particularly The Flash) have their share of emotional drama, but it’s really a stark contrast to the dark nature of another part of the DC universe, say, Batman v Superman …
Of course, it’s good to have both sides, but if you’re looking for something a little lighter, Monday’s episode seems like it may fit the bill nicely. “World’s Finest” premieres Monday, March 28th on CBS. Catch up with all of our recent coverage below:
